Man falls to death in Stephen's Green Shopping Centre

The incident occurred at about 4.35pm today.

Updated 5.52pm

A MAN HAS fallen to his death at Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre in Dublin city.

Emergency services are attending the scene. An area about 20 metres inside the front entrance has been cordoned off by gardaí.

The man’s body remains at the scene but had been blocked off by a screen as the centre remained open. It has since closed and a tent has been erected around the remains.

A worker in a store reported hearing a bang as the man fell. There were a number of people visibly shaken and upset after witnessing the incident.

Investigations are underway.

We complain about health and safety here but I bet Bangladesh could do with a bit of that type of thinking.

Poor Bangladeshi! When it’s not flood, it’s the roof of a crumbling factory where they were exploited…and now it’s fire. They never get some rest.
