Elderly man dies in Galway house fire

Emergency services were called to the scene in Ros Muc just before midnight last night.

A 73-YEAR-OLD MAN has died in a fire at a house in Galway late last night.

Emergency services were called to the scene at Lower Camus in Ros Muc just before midnight when the blaze was spotted.

The man was fatally injured in the fire and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gardaí said the scene is being preserved ahead of a technical examination.
