Man dies in Kerry house fire

The man was found at the house near Killorglin in the early hours of this morning.

A MAN HAS died following a house fire in Kerry overnight.

Gardaí say that the man in his 50s was discovered at a house in Ardaw, Beaufort near Killorglin in Co Kerry after the alarm was raised at 2am this morning when the house was on fire.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to Kerry General Hospital.

The scene has been preserved and a technical examination is under way this morning. It is understood that foul play is not suspected.
