Man dies in Longford road traffic accident

A cyclist has died in a collision with a lorry on the main N4 road.

A MAN HAS died in a road traffic accident in Longford.

Gardai at Longford are investigating the fatal accident, which occurred today at 12 noon on the main N4 at Clonart, Bornacoola between Rooskey roundabout and Newtownforbes.

A lorry was involved in a collision with a male cyclist, who was fatally injured.

The man was in his mid-30s and has not been named.

Diversions are in place and motorists are requested to avoid the area if at all possible.

The Forensic Collision Investigators are en route to the scene.
