Man dies after Cork workplace accident

The man received the injuries at Bus Éireann’s Capwell garage in Cork city.

A MAN WHO sustained head injuries when a cherry picker he was on knocked over, has died.

The incident happened at the Bus Éireann Capwell garage in Cork city on Monday afternoon.

It’s understood that the man, aged in his 50s, has died in hospital.

Bus Éireann issued this statement this afternoon:

Bus Éireann would like to extend its deepest sympathies and condolences to the family, extended family and friends of the Contractor who died following an incident at the Bus Éireann Capwell Garage, Cork on Monday afternoon.

Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this very difficult time.

The accident is currently under investigation by Bus Éireann, An Garda Síochána and the Health and Safety Authority.
