Man's ear bitten off in fast food restaurant

A 24-year-old has been arrested.

A 24-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested after a man in his 20s had part of his ear bitten off at a fast food restaurant.

It happened at Donegall Place in Belfast city centre on Thursday at around 10pm.

Detective Chief Inspector Gary Reid said, “A group of males were involved in an altercation at the premises at around 10pm, in which a man in his 20s, had a part of his ear bitten off.”

The 24-year-old was arrested shortly after the incident on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in custody at this time.
