Man in court after firearm recovered in Tallaght

The suspect allegedly discarded a gun from his car.

A MAN IN his mid-30s is to appear in court this morning, charged in relation to the recovery of a firearm in Tallaght on Tuesday.

The man was arrested during an incident on Ballinscorney Road at about 11.30pm on 19 March. The weapon had been discarded from the vehicle he was driving.

Gardaí in Terenure detained him under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act. He is due in the Criminal Courts of Justice at 10.30am.
