Man injured in Harold's Cross shooting

A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being shot several times in Dublin this evening.

A MAN HAS been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being shot during an incident at Harold’s Cross in Dublin this evening.

Gardaí in Terenure have confirmed that the man in his late 20s was shot a number of times at about 6.30pm.

He has been taken to St James’ Hospital for treatment.

The incident occured in a laneway linking Harold’s Cross Road to a nearby playing field. Gardaí  have preserved the area for technical examinations and are appealing for witnesses.
