Man killed after car strikes ditch in Co Tipperary

The man, aged in his 70s, was the sole occupant of the vehicle which left the road at Lagganstown Lower this afternoon.

A MAN IN HIS 70s has died after his car left the road and struck a ditch at Lagganstown Lower, Co Tipperary today.

The crash occured on a side road off of the New Inn Golden Road at around 3.25pm.

The man was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road has been closed for a forensic examination and diversions are in place.
