Man (53) killed in Donegal crash

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to the crash near Ballybofey in Donegal last night to come forward.

A 53-YEAR-OLD MAN has died following a two-car collision in Donegal on Tuesday evening.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to the crash which happened on a minor road at Creggan, near Ballybofey, at around 7.50pm last night.

The victim had been driving a van which was involved in a collision with a 4×4 vehicle. The man sustained serious injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene shortly afterwards.

A post-mortem is to be carried out on the man’s body at Letterkenny General Hospital today. There were no other reported injuries.

The road remains closed this morning as forensic investigators carry out an examination of the scene.
