Man killed and two injured in Kildare car crash

The man, 35, was the driver of the car which crashed at around 9.25am this morning four miles outside Clane in north Kildare.

A MAN HAS died following a car crash in which two other people were injured on the Clane to Kilcock Road in Co Kildare this morning.

The man, 35, was the driver of the car which crashed at around 9.25am this morning four miles outside Clane in north Kildare.

He was pronounced dead at the scene while two other men who were passengers, aged 24 and 49, were taken to Tallaght Hospital. Their injuries are said to be non-life threatening.

The road has been closed to facilitate a forensic collision examination and diversions are in place.

Witnesses to the collision or anyone who may have been on the road around the time of the collision have been asked to contact gardaí at Kilcock on 01 6757390, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
