Man knocked down by stolen car in gang-related hit and run

Dublin hit and run incident may be linked to gang-related activity.

A MAN HAS been injured in a hit and run incident in Dublin involving a stolen car.

The man was knocked down by a car on Benbulbin Road in Drimnagh early yesterday afternoon. The vehicle then fled the scene.

The man was taken to Tallaght hospital with broken limbs and a head injury but his injuries are not said to be not life threatening.

It is understood that the vehicle involved was stolen and a source told TheJournal.ie that the incident was related to the activities of a criminal gang operating in the city.

The man is currently being treated at Tallaght Hospital.
