Man released without charge in Andrew Allen murder investigation

A file is now being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

A MAN WHO was arrested in connection with the murder of Andrew Allen in Donegal earlier this year has been released.

Gardaí say that the man in his 50s has been released without charge this morning. A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The man was taken into custody yesterday morning and was questioned at Buncrana garda station overnight.

Allen, 24, was shot dead at a house in the Links View Park area of Buncrana on 9 February. There were suggestions at the time that the bullet came through a window of the house.

A woman was also in the house at the time but was not injured.
