Man dies after 'accidental shooting' in Cork house

The shooting took place in the Ballyphehane area.

A MAN HAS been shot dead in Cork.

The shooting took place in the Ballyphehane area of Cork this afternoon. It is understood that the shooting was an accident.

Gardaí in Togher say they’re investigating a shooting that happened on Plunkett Road at around 4.30pm.

A  41-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene and his remains have been removed to the morgue at Cork University Hospital, where a post mortem is expected to take place tomorrow.

Gardaí say they’re not searching for anyone else in connection with the deaths.
