Seriously injured man walks into garda station and claims he was shot (pics)

The man walked into Store Street garda station earlier tonight.

A MAN IS in a serious condition in hospital after he walked into a Dublin city centre garda station tonight saying he had been shot.

The man in his 30s walked into Store Street garda station at around 9.30pm tonight and told officers on duty that he had been shot.

He was tended to by ambulance personnel outside the station and has since been brought to the Mater Hospital where his condition is described as serious but stable, according to gardaí.

An appeal has been issued for witnesses to the incident or to anyone who can assist with the investigation to contact Store Street on 01 666 8000, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
