The body of missing woman Margaret 'Mags' Berry has been found in Galway

Margaret had been missing since last week.

THE BODY OF missing woman Margaret (Mags) Berry has been discovered in Galway.

Margaret (35) had gone missing last week from Galway city.

There had been a wide-scale search for Margaret since she had disappeared, with a Facebook appeal being launched by her friends.

Posters were put up around Galway city as well as Dublin and other areas.

Following the news of her death, friends took to Margaret’s Facebook page to offer their sympathy and pay tribute.

“Rest in peace Mags, you were one of a kind x,” one friend wrote.

“Peace to your soul Mags Berry. Saddened by you leaving us, but a better person for having known you,” another said.

Gardaí said that they were treating the matter as “personal tragedy”.
