Matt LeBlanc filmed Top Gear in Kenmare yesterday and the place was up in arms

Cruising down Henry Street in a Rolls Royce, no less.

THERE WAS MUCH excitement earlier this week when it was announced that Top Gear would be filming in several locations in Kerry this weekend.

Yesterday, it all kicked off, and locals in Kenmare were treated to the unusual sight of new host Matt LeBlanc cruising down the town in a blue Rolls Royce.

Crowds lined the streets ahead of the actor’s arrival – there was nearly as much excitement about the Rolls as there was about Matt himself:

Matt parked as best he could in the crowded, narrow street, and the selfie-taking began.

(Yes, that’s RTÉ’s own Kathryn Thomas there, fangirling.)

Even a hen party got in on the action:

The show is filming at a Dingle GAA game this morning, with locals invited to play and/or be in the crowd.

Look out for the Kerry high jinks when Top Gear returns to BBC Two in May.
