Two men in their 20s in serious condition after car crash in Co Meath

Their car crashed into a wall near Oldcastle early this morning.

TWO MEN ARE  in a serous condition in hospital after the car in which they were travelling crashed into a wall early this morning.

The collision happened this morning at about 4am on the Oldcastle to Virginia Road about 8km outside Oldcastle.

The two male occupants of the car are aged 22 and 24 years and were taken by ambulance to Cavan General Hospital where their injuries are described as serious.

The road is closed to allow for a forensic examination and local diversions are in place.

Witnesses to the crash or anyone on the road at the time are being asked to contact Kells Garda Station.
