Pedestrian dies after being struck by truck in Dublin

The driver of the truck has been taken to St James’ Hospital with minor injuries.

A MAN HAS died after being struck by a truck in Dublin today.

The incident occurred shortly before midday today on Meath Street. Gardaí said the man was pronounced dead at the scene and his age is unknown at present.

The road is closed for a forensic collision investigation and diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Kevin Street Garda Station on 01 666 9400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
