Man (29) seriously injured after being struck by bus in Dublin city centre

The accident happened just after midnight.

A MAN IS in serious condition after being struck by a bus in Dublin city centre.

Gardaí said the bus collided with the pedestrian, aged 29, shortly after midnight on Merchants Quay.

The man was taken to St James’s Hospital in Dublin. No other people were injured in the collision.

An examination of the scene was carried out and road has since fully reopened to traffic.

Gardaí have asked anyone with information to contact Kevin St Garda Station on 01-6669400 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
