5 incredible super-luxury motorhomes that are better than most houses

Featuring everything from rooftop cocktail bars to built-in garages for your sports car (yes, really).

WARNING: YOU MAY need to win the Lotto in order to afford some of these mega motorhomes and super-cool trailers.

But look, sometimes it’s good to get an idea of what you can spend your winnings on when your numbers do come up.

These extreme motorhomes, recreational vehicles (RVs) and trailers are basically mobile mansions – all have incredible amenities, features and designs that are literally better than most homes.

So, to get planning for your ultimate luxury road trip, here are some of the greatest (and most expensive) motorhomes and trailers you can buy.

1. Airstream Land Yacht

YouTube YouTube

Perhaps no other RV nameplate is as iconic and revered as Airstream. These super cool and slick aluminium travel trailers are some of the most luxurious and lusted after on the market. Take the 2014 limited edition Airstream Land Yacht which was a collaboration between Airstream engineers and famed Italian Riva yacht designer Mauro Micheli.

Gear Patrol / YouTube

The Land Yacht travel trailer is over eight metres long and can sleep up to five people in its sumptuous interior. Step inside the Land Yacht and you are greeted with elegant curved cabinetry and plush padded surfaces with detail stitching. It is stunning looking and the perfect RV to take on a road trip to Monaco where it wouldn’t look out of place.

This pretty Airstream will cost you a pretty penny, though. You’ll need at least €130,000 or so to get into one.

2. Newell Coach 1488

Newell Newell

One for the Euro Millions win, the Newell Coach model number 1488 costs an eye-watering USD$1.7 million (roughly €1.4million). For that amount of cash, you get a 45-foot-long mobile mansion complete with marble floor tiling with bamboo trim, a queen sized bedroom with master bathroom, another bathroom, and a full kitchen with oven, stove top and built in coffee maker. There’s also a washing machine and dryer and two TVs (42-inch and 47-inch).

Newell Newell

The front seats are heated and feature massage functions although for that price I’d want my own driver to be included so I could live in the lap of luxury in the back. This beast looks like a penthouse showroom. It’s mega.

3. Featherlite Vantare Platinum Plus

YouTube YouTube

Featherlite boasts about the reliability of its motorcoaches but I sure wouldn’t mind being broken down and stuck on the side of the road in its Vantare Platinum Plus motorhome. It’s bigger and cosier than my actual home.

YouTube YouTube

The interior of this palatial pad is made of the finest materials sourced from around the world like Italian leather and suede, Incan marble, and Swarovski crystals. This motorhome is so big and swanky that it even has its own garage. Underneath the Platinum Plus is room for your sports car. I kid you not. This bad boy will cost you around USD$2.5 million (€2.1million).

4. Marchi Mobile eleMMent Palazzo Superior

YouTube YouTube

Billed as “the most luxurious mobile home in the world”, this is also the most expensive costing upwards of €2.5million. The design combines features from the worlds of motor-sports, aviation and yachting to create a motorhome masterpiece.

It has so many cool features that I don’t know where to start! Perhaps the most striking is the panoramic, helicopter-like windshield can be darkened in two stages using an adjustable sun protection system.

YouTube YouTube

That said, probably its most appealing feature is the four-metre sofa that is within reach of the bar, the wine cabinet and the ice-maker. Luxury laziness at its finest. But wait, there’s more. On the roof, at the push of a button, a cocktail bar appears with underfloor heating and marble lighting. It’s your very own sky bar.

OK. Let’s wind this down with a more realistic option that still ticks all the ‘cool motor home’ boxes.

5. Taxa Cricket

YouTube YouTube

Taxa Outdoors makes some of the coolest campers around. Its founder, Garrett Finney, is a former NASA habitation module designer who creating the small living spaces aboard the International Space Station. He has taken this knowledge of designing small living spaces and applied it to campers and trailers and one of his funkiest designs is the Cricket Camper.

The Cricket is designed for off-grid adventure and its light weight means it can be towed by most SUVs and regular cars. Its modern angular design is unlike any other camper out there and every bit of space, inside and out, is taken full advantage of. The Cricket can sleep two adults and two children and has a solar panels and integrated plumbing and electrical systems so you’re good to go days off the grid with this camper. Compared to other campers on this list, the Cricket is a steal at USD$10,000 – $18,000.

On a general note the Conservative party particularly their cabinet and the right wing are really pitiful, a combination of air heads masquerading as ministers and then the old empire enthusiasts. Go Global Britain lol it’s such a comedy show.

@Gary Garden: They have the 5th biggest economy but on a per capita basis they are miles down the table, 26th on GDP(PPP) and 20th GDP(nominal). Ireland is within the top 4 of both. They also have the wealthiest part of Northern europe in London but also 9 of the 10 most impoverished parts.

@Rayzor: Hi Rayzor, I lived and worked in the UK for over 6 years. I know where the wealth and poverty is quite well. This is Brexit and the only outcome is the rich will get richer and I dont need to say the rest. The average Brit is über gullible and just need to hear a posh and plump voice to believe they are as a country going in the right direction. They are in for a rude awakening now. No voice on the big table, US under Biden isnt going to prioritise the ‘special relationship’ BS which is just Anglo Saxon nostalgia by the way. They are now a minnow, they wonr even draw in FDI as they dont have EU labour market access. Its beyond mindblowingly stupid what they’ve dont.

I think the differences between Theresa’s proposals and what has now been agreed are very small. The old Tory empire worshippers have now seen a little of what they could have expected if they had achieved the hard Brexit they so craved. The motorways to the ports blocked and no one in the EU too worried about their great friends in UK and best of all Donald dumped from power and replaced by a politician who knows that world prosperity is built on cooperation and not isolation. Good man Joe B.

So let me get this straight – the ERG (who wanted Brexit so the UK could “reclaim its sovereignty from the EU”), are now saying that the Brexit deal is good because it “preserves the UK’s sovereignty”.

Last time I checked, “preserves” means to maintain something in its current or original state – in other words, preserving UK sovereignty is keeping what’s already in place….

The concept of sovereignty and the reality of the Fishing aspect of the Brexit deal are mutually exclusive and it would be disingenuous to claim otherwise. Scottish fishermen are rightly concerned at the very suggestion of having taken back “sovereignty “ given that the status quo ante shall pertain for 5.5 long years and even then the EU has an option to resile from the whole Agreement should a negotiated access to UK waters not be agreed. Even if a further Agreement can be negotiated it’s terms will be slanted in favour of the French fleet under pain of the sort of disruption witnessed at Dover in the past few days. Better to have forced Macron’s hand but when the Brits witnessed the chais at Dover the writing was on the wall. Fishing was a zero sum game in terms of hard economics

oh course they are happy – the right of the UK to control it’s financial services and retain their tax havens was a priority to the offshore wealthy I understand. That it seems was worth it over an EU – UK financial services agreement.

Actually, not the worst outcome for Ireland by any means.. sorry about the fish – but this makes interesting reading https://ec.europa.eu/ireland/news/key-eu-policy-areas/fisheries_en

Its pretty ironic that one of the stated reasons for the ERG supporting this deal is, that they don’t see it as binding, to the extent that they can choose to renege on it as soon as it pleases a “robust government” to do so and then trade under WTO rules and tariffs.
