Two men arrested over murder of David Byrne at Regency Hotel

That brings the total number of arrests over his death to three.

TWO MEN HAVE been arrested as part of the investigation into the shooting dead of David Byrne at the Regency Hotel.

As part of the investigation into the murder of Byrne on 5 February, gardaí arrested two men today.

The two men, who are aged in their 50s and 30s, have been detained at Swords and Clonfarf Garda Stations under section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007.

The brings to three the number of people who have been arrested as part of this murder investigation.

Byrne, who was aged 32, was shot dead at a boxing weigh-in at the Regency Hotel.

During his funeral, a call was made for an end to the gangland feud in which he died.
