Man dragged out of house and beaten by gang in broad daylight

Police are looking for witnesses to an attack that happened yesterday afternoon.

POLICE IN NORTHERN Ireland have appealed for information following an assault in the Newtonabbey area of Antrim yesterday.

The attack was carried out by five males who called to a house on Milewater Drive shortly after midday yesterday.

The group dragged an occupant of the house out onto the street before assaulting him.

The man was treated by ambulance staff for cuts and bruising after the gang fled on foot.

The PSNI is now investigating the assault and appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Inspector Michael Simpson urged anyone who witnessed the attack to contact local police.
