Renewed appeal to find couple one year after they went missing

Willie Maughan and Anna Varslavane were reported missing on 14 April 2015.

GARDAÍ IN CO Meath have renewed their appeal for assistance in tracing the whereabouts of two people who were reported missing from Gormanston one year ago tomorrow.

William (Willie) Maughan, who was born in 1980 and is originally from Tallaght, and Anastasija (Anna) Varslavane, who was born in 1995 and is originally from Latvia, have not been seen in 12 months.

Both had been living in Gormanston and had planned to leave there to live in the Tallaght area.

Willie is described as 5′ 8”, of athletic build, with shaved head and green eyes.
Anna is 5’6” in height, and of slim build, with long dark hair.

Gardaí said they remain “extremely concerned” for the couple’s welfare and safety. They have asked anyone with information to contact the incident room at Ashbourne garda station on 01-8010600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111 or any garda station.

People with information can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 1800-25-00-25. Gardaí said people “may receive a reward for information which significantly helps” the investigation.
