Mother and four-day old baby missing from hospital

Police issued a fresh appeal this morning.

POLICE IN BRISTOL have issued an urgent appeal for members of the public to help them find a mother and her newborn baby.

Charlotte Bevan went missing from a hospital in the city last night.

Her baby daughter, Zarnee Teanna, is just four days old and there are serious concerns for her welfare.

When last seen, Charlotte did not have any shoes on but was thought to be wearing hospital slippers. She also had no coat and Zarnee was wrapped only in blue and white striped and coloured blankets.

Police said the attire was “not really appropriate for the cold weather”.

In a statement, detectives said: “They are reported to have left the Bristol Maternity Hospital in Southwell Street last night, some time between 8.30-9pm but we are unsure where they went after leaving the hospital.

We are concerned for both Charlotte’s welfare and that of her baby and are urging Charlotte to let us know that she and her baby are alright.

Officers have been searching the city centre throughout the night and appeals have been put out to bus drivers and taxi drivers and those travelling into work on early shifts this morning to lookout for Charlotte and her daughter.

Charlotte, a white woman, is aged 30, about 5ft 8ins tall, of average build with dark wavy hair. When she went missing she was thought to be wearing a long black top and black trousers but was not believed to be wearing a coat. She may appear confused and worried.
