Gardaí are currently trying to establish a timeline and are looking to speak to anyone who may have been on the beach and noticed a wine coloured Hyundai 4×4, or anything unusual, between 1pm and 9pm on that day.

A limited search was carried out yesterday and a more thorough search of the area is planned for this afternoon.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact Gardaí at Laytown on  041 982 7074.
