Man arrested in connection with missing person case

The man is being held at Carrickmacross Garda Station.

A MAN HAS been arrested by gardaí in connection with a missing person case.

Gardaí said this afternoon that the man had been arrested with regard to an ongoing investigation into a missing person case.

The man is being held in Carrickmacross and being detained under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

RTÉ.ie is reporting that the missing person is Gerard Daly, who went missing in 2011. He was last seen by his partner at his home in Bailieborough, Co Cavan, on June 26 2011.
