Search intensifies in south Dublin for missing 72-year-old woman

Breda Delaney was last seen at 3.30am yesterday.

GARDAÍ ARE CONCERNED for the welfare of a woman missing since the early hours of Saturday morning.

Breda Delaney (72) was last seen at her home at Avondale Court, Blackrock, Co Dublin, at roughly 3.30am.

A search operation for the woman has resumed today in south Dublin.

Civil defence, several coast guard units, harbour police, and gardaí are searching across Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown, the local coast guard unit said on Facebook.

Breda is described as

  • 5′ 4″ in height of slight build
  • Blonde/grey hair
  • Blue eyes.

When last seen she was wearing:

  • A white cardigan,
  • A grey calf length skirt
  • Black shoes.

Gardaí are concerned for Breda’s welfare and anyone with information is asked to contact Blackrock Garda Station on 01-666 5200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666111, or any Garda Station.
