€12,000 has gone missing from a Dublin garda station

A detective superintendent has been appointed to investigate how this happened.

AN INTERNAL GARDA investigation has been launched after thousands of euro went missing from Kevin Street Garda station in Dublin’s city centre.

TheJournal.ie understands the cash amounts to €12,000. A garda spokesperson confirmed a detective superintendent has been appointed to  examine the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the money.

They said investigations are continuing.
