Teenager killed after two motorbikes collide

Another man has been brought to hospital.

GARDAÍ IN BALLYFERMOT are appealing for witnesses following a fatal traffic collision in Cherry Orchard in Dublin.

Shortly before 8am this morning, a teenage boy was seriously injured when two motorcycles collided on Cherry Orchard Avenue.

He was taken by ambulance to St James’s Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The second motorcyclist, a man aged in his early 20s was also taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The road is closed to traffic and local diversions are in place. Garda forensic collision investigators have been requested to examine the scene and the coroner has been notified.
