Driver caught with no tax for two years tells gardaí 'my child tore up my tax disc'

We have a feeling his dog ate his homework once upon a time too.

A MAN WHO had no tax for his van told gardaí that his child tore up the disc.

He was stopped for being in the bus lane.

Gardaí then noticed his tax was out of date and the van had not undertaken the Department of Environment (DOE) commercial vehicle test.

The man went on to blame his child for the lack of tax.

However, when gardaí checked it showed that the van was last taxed in March 2013.
