Fire brigade battle fire in Dublin city Georgian building

FIVE UNITS OF Dublin Fire Brigade are at the scene of a fire in a building in north inner-city Dublin.

The fire is in the top floor of the five-storey building at 4 Mountjoy Square north.

The terraced Georgian building has been evacuated and everyone has been accounted for according to fire officials.

The fire is next door to 3 Mountjoy Square where the first Daíl was convened almost a century ago.

Fire fighters arrived at the scene shortly before 1pm and they remain there battling the fire.
