Mubarak appears in court... on his hospital bed

The former Egyptian president is on trial for corruption and ordering the killing of protesters.

FORMER EGYPTIAN PRESIDENT Hosni Mubarak is appearing in court on a hospital bed today to face charges of corruption and ordering the killing of protesters during mass protests against his rule earlier this year.

The 83-year-old deposed leader is appearing in the defendants cage at the police academy in Cairo this morning. He, his sons and a number of former close colleagues are facing trial.
