Bomb scare after device brought to Garda station

The Defence Forces are on the scene.

GARDAÍ IN MULLINGAR are dealing with a bomb scare after a member of the public brought a device to the Garda station in the town.

The member of the public is believed to have found the device and brought it to the gardaí.

Gardaí then called for the Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal team, who are en route to the Westmeath town.

It is not yet known if the device is viable.
