Man arrested after missing UK teen found in Co Laois

The teenager is originally from South Yorkshire and police put out a public appeal yesterday.

A MAN HAS been arrested after a missing UK teen was found in Ireland.

A public appeal was put out by the gardaí yesterday in connection with the disappearance of Neta Anghel, who had last been seen at her family home in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.

She was said to be in the company of Pitulan Angel (29) and travelling in his silver E-class Mercedes.

Officers believed they were in the Republic of Ireland after the car was seen boarding a ferry at Cairn Ryan port in Scotland.

Safe and well

Today, gardaí said that Netradica (Neta) Anghel has been found safe and well in County Laois.

A male in his late 20s has been arrested in connection with this investigation and is due to appear before a special sitting of Portlaoise District Court this afternoon.

Gardaí thanked the public for their assistance in this case.
