Skoda reveals new specs and prices for an Irish favourite - the Octavia

New Octavia offers Skoda Connected services technology for the first time.

SKODA IRELAND HAS released details on the pricing and specification for the new Octavia.

The Czech car manufacturer has produced more than five million units of the Octavia since the first-gen back in 1996 and it is much loved over here with almost 55,000 new Octavia models sold in Ireland since its induction here in 1998. The Octavia is Skoda’s top performing model in the Irish market and has been in the top four Irish selling car models for the past two years running.

This latest model gets a new front-end radiator grille. This has been expanded with the introduction of additional headlights with a crystalline look, and wider air inlets with a honeycomb structure in the redesigned bumper to bring it in line with Skoda’s new design language. (This style can also be seen on the new Kodiaq SUV.)

The new Octavia will be offered in the same three trim levels of Active, Ambition and Style. Ambition models now have new LED tail lights, electric folding mirrors and a new reversing camera as standard. The top Style models now benefit from a new front grille and chrome detailing and a 9.2-inch Columbus navigation and infotainment system as standard.

The prices start at €19,750 for the 1.2TSI in Active trim, and go up to €31,950 for the 2.0TDi in Style trim level.
