Newborn baby dies after falling from fourth floor New York apartment

It’s not yet clear how the baby fell from the window but police are investigating.

A NEWBORN BABY has died after falling four floors from a New York apartment.

Three week old Ahmad Ridwan was found in the courtyard of the complex in Queens around 4am on Friday morning.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The baby’s parents and two other children were in the apartment at the time.

A neighbour told New York Daily News that she ‘couldn’t move’ when she saw the baby in a blue and white onesie and that ‘there was blood everywhere’.

It’s not yet clear how the baby fell from the window but police are investigating.

Officers are trying to determine if one of the children was holding the baby before the fall.

The father is being questioned by police while the mother was taken for a psychiatric evaluation.
