This video shows what world institutions would look like without any men

And it’s grim…

IT’S NOT NEWS to anyone that there are more men than women in positions of power and working in politics all across the world.

There are continued calls for greater gender equality in world institutions and for a focus on encouraging more women into these kinds of powerful jobs. But Elle UK came up with a creative way of getting the point across recently, by releasing a video showing what world institutions would look like without any men.

The video shows various photographs, like one of Emma Watson at the UN and another of the chamber in the House of Commons in the UK and then removes all of the men:

It also shows what University Challenge might look like if there were no male contestants and let’s just say the show probably wouldn’t still be going today.

Elle said “there is more room for us at the top”, adding that one woman’s success “makes every woman stronger”.
