Man shot five times in latest Dublin gangland attack

The man was rushed to hospital and remains in a critical condition.

A MAN IS in a critical condition after being shot multiple times in the latest gangland shooting in Dublin.

The shooting took place in the Dun Emer estate in Lusk, North County Dublin at about 9.50am this morning.

The man (aged 38) was rushed to Beaumont Hospital where his injuries are described as critical.

Sources said that five shots were fired during the incident.

A Volkswagen Golf was seen leaving the area and was discovered burnt out at Kilhedge Lane in Lusk a short time later.

Gardaí are currently at the scene.
