Northampton family killings suspect lost court case against victims

Police in the UK have released more information on the stabbing of four family members at the weekend, and of the man they are anxious to speak to in connection with the deaths.

THE MAN UK POLICE have named as a suspect in the quadruple murders of a family in Northampton at the weekend had recently lost a substantial sum of money to two of the victims in a court case.

Post-mortem examinations revealed that the four people – university lecturer Jifeng Deng, 52, his wife Helen Chui, 47, and their daughters aged 12 and 18 – died from stab wounds. Their bodies were discovered by officers who were called to their home on Sunday evening.

Detective Superintendent Glyn Timmins said police are “anxious to trace” Anxiang Du, 52, a businessman from the West Midlands area of England. Timmins said Du is believed to have left a suicide note before he disappeared on Friday.

The Manchester Evening News reports that police revealed today that Du recently lost money in a court ruling made in favour of two of the victims. The court action involved shared business interests.

Police said that anyone who had information on Du or who saw him should not approach him, but should instead contact police immediately.

Yesterday, police appealed for information regarding a silver Vauxhall Corsa which had been rented to the family but was not found at their home. Officers are still trying to trace the murder weapon.
