Man in his 30s dies after crash on Dublin's Old Cabra Road

Two men died in separate crashes in Limerick yesterday.

A MAN IN his 30s died after the motorcycle he was driving crashed in Dublin in the early hours of the morning.

A passenger – a man in his 40s – was seriously injured in the crash.

The incident happened at around 2.20am this morning on the Old Cabra Road in Dublin 7. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The passenger was taken to the Mater Hospital where his condition is described as critical.

The road had earlier been closed to facilitate an examination from a garda forensic team, but it has since re-opened to traffic.

This crash brings to the number of motorcyclists who have died on Irish roads in the past 24 hours to three, after two men were killed in separate incidents in Limerick just minutes apart yesterday evening.
