Three shot in attack at US high school

The shooting happened at a school in Portland, Oregon shortly after noon local time.

THREE PEOPLE – BELIEVED to be students – have been shot in a gun attack at a school in Portland, Oregon.

Police reported the shooting shortly after noon local time, and said that one or more suspects had fled the Rosemary Anderson High School.

Speaking to The Oregonian, police Sgt. Peter Simpson confirmed the shooting happened outside the school.

He also confirmed that the victims were two males and one female.

Three people have been taken to hospital.

Police have swept the area and confirmed there are no additional victims.

Rosemary Anderson High School is an alternative school that serves at-risk students who were expelled or dropped out, are homeless or single parents.

According to the school’s website, 190 students annually are enrolled at the north Portland location.
