Paddy Power to cut 300 jobs after Betfair merger

It is unclear which branches in Ireland will be impacted by the job losses.

BOOKMAKER PADDY POWER Betfair is to cut 300 jobs following a merger between the two bookmakers in February.

It is understood around 300 jobs will be cut from the company’s operations in Ireland.
A total of 650 jobs are expected to be cut in total, with the other losses in Britain.

The company is targeting roles that have been duplicated since the merger, such as managerial and technical positions.

Paddy Power Betfair has declined to comment on the planned cuts.
