Man and teenager arrested over damage of valuable paintings at Shelbourne Hotel

The men are due to be charged in relation to the incident in court tomorrow.

TWO ARRESTS HAVE been made over damage done to two paintings in a Dublin five-star hotel.

The two valuable paintings were damaged at the Shelbourne Hotel in St Stephens Green in Dublin on 8 January.

Gardaí said today that they arrested two males this morning in relation to the investigation.

One was in his late 40’s, while the other was in his late teens. They were arrested in the Dublin area and detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Pearse Street Garda Station.

The two are scheduled to appear at the Criminal Courts of Justice tomorrow morning charged in relation to the incident.
