25-year-old man dies after assault at Dublin guesthouse

A MAN HAS died after an alleged assault at a guesthouse in Palmerstown, Dublin, in the early hours of this morning.

The incident occurred at 3.45am this morning at a property on Kennelsfort Road, Palmerstown.

Two men were taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown. The 25-year-old was said to be in serious condition this morning but gardaí have confirmed he has since passed away.

A 40-year-old man was arrested at the scene of the incident this morning and is currently being held at Ballyfermot Garda Station.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident or anyone who was in the Kennelsfort Road area between 3.30 and 4am to contact them at Ballyfermot garda station on 01 666 7200.
