Man shot in the legs in paramilitary style attack in Belfast

PSNI appeals for information about the incident near Flax Street.

A MAN WAS shot in the legs last night in North Belfast in what police are describing as a paramilitary style attack.

The shooting took place at around 10.55 pm last night in the Flax Street area of the city.

A 24-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment, but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

In a statement, PSNI Detective Chief Inspector Gary Reid appealed for anyone with information to call Tennent Street Police Station on 101, or anonymously contact Crimestoppers on 0800-555-111.
