Passengers watch as bus plunges from Bolivia's 'death road'

The driver had made the passengers disembark before attempting a particularly dangerous stretch of the infamous road.

A BUS DRIVER has reportedly been killed in Bolivia after his vehicle plunged from the road known as ‘el camino del muerte’, or the ‘death road’.

According to videos posted online, the driver made his 50 passengers disembark before attempting a particularly dangerous stretch of the road.

The North Yungas Road runs between Coroico and La Paz and is notoriously for its dangerous driving conditions.

Some of the onlooking passengers were attempting to help the driver to navigate the road when the bus skidded on the rubble-strewn path and fell down a ravine:

My three year old just started preschool. He’s only in for a couple of hours a day this week (12-2pm) but it’s a big struggle to get him out the door. He fights against it at every stage. I have no idea how I’ll get him there for 8.30 on Monday. I should add that once there he’s totally fine.

@Miriam Dowling: I feel your pain. My 7 yr old is the very same. When we eventually get out the door he is always making excuses to go back inside to get something. If the morning is fine we get out the hurleys and play outside and then there is no fighting. His sister on the other hand is a doddle in the mornings. Hope your lad enjoys his preschool!

@Sinead Hanley: I’m hoping it’s something he’ll grow out of but I’m doubtful
