Man arrested over murder of Dubliner whose body was found in Meath field

Paul Gallagher’s body was discovered in a field in Co Meath in 2014.

A MAN IN his 30s has been detained in connection with the murder of a Dublin man two years ago.

Gardaí confirmed that the suspect was arrested in Drogheda, Co Louth, on Monday.

The body of Paul Gallagher, a Dubliner in his late 20s, was found with gunshot wounds in a field in Ballymacan in Meath in July 2014.

He was originally from Donaghmede but had an address in Co Louth.

The man arrested in connection with the killing has been detained at Navan Garda Station under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act.
