Pedestrians killed on Limerick, Mullingar roads

A 69-year-old man was killed in Limerick last night, while a 23-year-old was knocked down and fatally injured in Mullingar.

GARDAÍ IN LIMERICK are investigating the death of a pedestrian that occurred at Dooradoyle yesterday evening.

Investigating Gardaí at Roxboro Road have said that a 69-year-old man was knocked down and killed when he was struck by a car on St. Nessan’s Road at about 7.45pm on Monday.

Elswhere, Gardaí in Mullingar are investigating a fatal collision which saw a young man knocked down and killed on the N4 at about 5am this morning.

The 23-year-old pedestrian was struck by a car on the N4 at Clongowney.
