Petrol bomb thrown at two properties in west Belfast

Both properties suffered scorch damage and a car parked in the area at the time also had its tyres slashed.

POLICE IN WEST Belfast are investigating a petrol bomb attack on two properties in the Hawthorn Street area of the city during the early hours of this morning.

At approximately 1am it was reported that a petrol bomb had been thrown at two properties in the area causing scorch damage to the window and window sill of one property and scorch damage to the living room of the second property.

A car parked in the area at the time also had its tyres slashed.

Detectives have asked that anyone who may have witnessed this incident or anyone who has any information to contact them at Grosvenor Road Police Station on 0845 600 8000. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
